Stump Grinding
After you remove a tree only half of the job is completed, as there is still a stump remaining in the ground. To remove a stump you have two options – you can rent a stump grinder and remove yourself or hire a company like Tarzan Tree Removal to get rid of it for you. The stump grinder is a mechanical power tool that cuts the wood with rotating disks.
Depending on the size of the tree the roots can go deep into the ground and are very difficult to remove, especially if the tree is old. Instead of removing the roots you can grind the stump, which will leave you with a level area. You can then put fertilizer where the tree once was and cover it up.
It is not only fallen trees that require stump grinding. If you have trees that have fallen down after a storm or because they are sick, you will have a stump sticking out of the ground.

Stump Grinding
Stump grinding should only be done by a professional, as the machine can be very difficult and dangerous to operate. Not only do you need a professional to operate it, you need someone who is trained to know how to decide how much of the stump needs to be removed.
